Conservative. The libs who insisted that low income people should not be dicriminated against when it came to borrowing money to buy a home.



The reality is that some people just can't afford to buy a home and wishing it does not make it so.

Both are, at least to some extent. Carter started it with his Community Reinvestment Act in 1977, Clinton made more revisions to encourage even more of the bad loans, and Bush tried to fix it in 2003 but got shot down. That all says bad things for the Dems, but to be fair, some Reps in Congress passed the stuff that Clinton did.



I'm a Rep.Which Party is to blame for the financial crisis?
The people that caused this crisis are the same people that say they must fix this crisis.



It all boils down to the Community Reinvestment Act.



If there were just one guilty Republican in this mess it would be all over the news.



The guilty party is not as important as the fact our government leaders have failed us taxpayers.
As a Republican I would have to say most definitely both parties have sold us out.
