I'm a young guy, looking for someplace fun to hang out while in Hollywood.Which are the hot spots to hang out in Hollywood and probably see someone famous?You don’t see celebrities in Hollywood. That is a myth. Hollywood is basically just an industrial town, except that the industry is entertainment instead of, say, coal mining. If you are thinking that celebs are all over the streets of Hollywood, think again. First of all, most studios are not even in Hollywood. Second, most celebrities, especially the A-list type, protect their privacy. They rarely go out in public unless there is an event in which they are appearing. Just because you see a celebrity on “Entertainment Tonight” for two weeks running, don’t get the impression that they are just sitting around at Starbuck’s waiting to sign autographs. Occasionally one can be seen, but it is rare. Celebrities do shop, eat out, and pick up movies at Blockbuster, but it is rare to spot one.



If you do happen to see one out in public, the proper etiquette is to leave them alone. Don't scream, gush, ask for an autograph, or try to talk to them. Some are nice about it, but you could find yourself quickly removed from the premises. Most often, they can be spotted dining out, shopping, or doing other mundane things. Many times, they are “dressed down”, wearing jeans, tees, sunglasses, and a hat. If you want to try spotting one, try these spots:

Sporting events- Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, and Angels games



Don’t try to get into one of the nightclubs they hang out in. You’ll never get past the velvet rope unless you have a few Benjamins to throw at the doorman. But if you had that kind of dough, I doubt you would be hanging around this forum.



If you want someplace fun, go to Hollywood %26amp; Highland. That's fun. But don't expect to see a celebrity.

Loha, if you read past the first sentence, you'll see I said "unless it's an event they are attending". A premiere or getting a Hollywood Star would count as that. However, that's not within the scope of the question. He asked where to "hang out". Sure, you can hang out for WEEKS in front of the Chinese Theater, and might see a premiere. But that sidewalk gets cold and hard pretty quickly.

hahahah i dont know if you are visting hollywood but to be honest thats not where the fun is thats where all the out of staters are.. if you wanna have fun go to huntington beach funest place ive ever been to in cali and theres other great places and to meet famous people hahah good luck with that one by the time you see one there running from the other people chasing them but i do know a place where jay-leno hangs out at and arnold some bike shop in LA sorry forgot the name havent been there for yearsWhich are the hot spots to hang out in Hollywood and probably see someone famous?well actualy obviosu man is wrong..

on hollywood blvd i saw venessa williams getting her hollywood

star in front of the rosevelt hotel( if u know where that is, by the chinese theatre)

i got her autograph and a pict with her

and ive seen howie mandel on set of deal or no deal ( i was in the audience)

as for fun places to go . go to venice or santa monica beach,

or the grove fun local place to chill ( they have shopping theatre restauraunts every like a cute little town with trolley busses)

If you're sharp and over 21 you could probably get into the pool party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, which goes on Pretty much every night. There is usually someone from movies or TV there.
I've seen more famous people in Santa Monica.
