No one is going to solve our financial crises in 100 days.Could the McCain administration have solved the financial crisis in the first 100 days?
No.
But they wouldnt have made it worse like Obama did.
don't you understand, the gov't has no control, it's all about the unconstitutional federal reserve that counterfeits money daily
Ron Paul or Chuck Baldwin was your only hope for an economic RecoveryCould the McCain administration have solved the financial crisis in the first 100 days?
Probably YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No more comment needed...............
They certainly wouldn't have spent trillions to fix the black hole that sucks money into it like a certain current administration is doing..Could the McCain administration have solved the financial crisis in the first 100 days?
probably not... but the Romney administration could have
No. If the sitting President has nothing to do with a "financial crisis," then a sitting President, (that one or a different one) can do nothing to fix the "financial crisis" either.
The country certainly thought that it couldn't.
Uh yes. He would have cut taxes for the rich and made the economy strong just like Bush did.
No, but I guarantee that McCain would not have allowed the money to be spend that has been spend.
Btw, it not the job of our government to solve problems, it their job to help private industry and citizens along, not dictate to them.
I agree with the guy saying Romney could have.
I hope he decides to run again next term.
No, he most likely would have made it worse. He was among the last to acknowledge that there even WAS a crisis, and his solution would most likely would have been to throw even more cash to the wealthy.
I am going to make an educated guess that he wouldn't have signed a bill for 787billion dollars which included 30 million for titmouse preservation and tattoo removal for gang members in his first 1000 days.
So, it would have been an improvement over what we are stuck with.
No, of course not. McCain had no new ideas for the economy. He was happy with the Bush economic policy and said so many times. Yeah, and that was working out so well for us. He wasn't any different than Bush, seeking to protect the rich and screw the middle class into the ground. It was clear he was frighteningly ignorant about economics. He even admitted it:
"I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated," McCain told the Wall Street Journal in late November.
In December he said, "The issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should," as the Globe reported on its "Political Intelligence" blog at the time.
On at least one occasion, McCain has raised the matter himself. On Nov. 10, while traveling through New Hampshire on his Straight Talk Express bus, McCain was asked what he would seek in a vice presidential candidate if nominated.
After mentioning the ability of a potential running mate to replace the president, McCain said, "You also look for people who maybe have talents you don't, or experience or knowledge you don't, as well."
"What are those qualities that you don't - that you wouldn't mind complementing?" asked David Brooks, a columnist for The New York Times.
McCain paused. "Uh, maybe I shouldn't say this, but, somebody who's really well grounded in economics," he said.

No ,, I think McCain would be throwing even more money with no conditions to all of his rich CEO buddies...Then invite them all to the hamptons to party.
No.
I'm still waiting for mccain to use that "secret plan to capture bin laden" that he talked about during the debates to bring in usama, since bush will never make good on his vow to capture bin laden "dead or alive".
No. but a libertarian could have.
Yes, He would have:
-canceled Social Security and Medicare, and
-granted the rich another tax cut.
Problem solved, at least for all Republicans.
Most likely not but then again nobody built McCain up to be a God coming to save the Human Race. Seriously to listen to some of Obamas most die hard supporters I though he was going to Fly like Superman to his inauguration and walk on water.
No, McCain would have made it worse, and only people who have to pay for the damage they profited from the Bush administration is screaming that Obama is making it worse...
Absolutely.
Plus, they would have made available FREE Cheesecake for everyone.
Of course not, but he wouldn't have tripled the national debt either
we live in a capitalist society with government regulation.
Obama is pushing for more government regulation which most economists who have ever even heard of Smith knows that this slows economic growth.
so it does not seem Obama is heading in the right direction.
No McCain would of put us in more debt because of the wars.
Possibly
I think they would've done a better job than Obama's administration.
No. McCain could not have done it any other way. He is too busy pointing degrading fingers at our new President. NOW his daughter is doing the same thing. Today on TV, she stood and arrogantly announced that she was a REPUBLICAN. McCain will probably run in 2012 and instead of asking Governor Palin to be his running mate, he might have the peanuts to say, his daughter will be his running mate. But after what he did in this election with Obama, I doubt if the Republican Party will ask him to clean the John.
No
I doubt it. I would have left the country if McCain/Palin would have won.
I can't imagine McCain having the stamina. He would have to turn it over to advisers - probably many of the same people Obama brought in.
