Why is Hollywood turning Animes into live action movies?

Anyone know or have any theroys on why this trend has taken root in hollywood and if they do keep on this track will the movies they make be failures like Dragonball and Speedracer. Why is Hollywood turning Animes into live action movies?Because they fail to realize that by doing so, it actually takes away from the anime's epicness and figure that if the Animes are that popular, maybe they themselves can rake in the money.

TT-TT It makes me so sad.

...I couldn't even bring myself to watch Dragonball. That might've made my eyes bleed and ruined my childhood for good.

On the contrary, Animes and Mangas that have been turned into live actions and J-dramas in Japan are fairly good. ^_^Why is Hollywood turning Animes into live action movies?
Probably because they have exhausted all other subjects for movie ideas and are trying to appeal to even more people, mainly the younger crowd, and convince them to watch their movies.

There are many movies out there, but it's getting harder and harder to make a totally original film, which is why Hollywood is getting permission from multiple anime/manga writers, storybook owners, and the like to recreate existing stories.

That and they want to show off their special effects with green screen, machines, and trying to compensate for poor actors. Why is Hollywood turning Animes into live action movies? To answer your second question first because they put so much money into "developing" them under the assumption they know why we like them instead of ASKING us what makes Speed Racer or Death Note so cool FIRST that they are afraid if they do anything too authentic we'll be -- as turned off as we are by their empty gestures at "authenticity.

As for why they do it it relates to what I said above. They have decided to spend so much money on the movies they make they want a guarantee of an audience FIRST. The Japanese don't spend so much money on these things. That results in the ability to take more risks and present their audiences with more novelty. Once these novelties have a large enough audience, the studios here are interested but they are as I said going to give them a "development" which is going to result in some often stupid live action films instead of the often precious animations which have an audience. Most of these films are precisely so interesting because they are animations.
because there idiots-- to be honest in my opinion you cant make a "good" anime into a movie, unless most of its contents are down to earth.

Just an opinion, no affence. Why is Hollywood turning Animes into live action movies?Because they want to make money by tricking anime fans into thinking that the movies are going to be great. Anime fans are easy to manipulate if you get the wording right. Why is Hollywood turning Animes into live action movies?
Hollywood is flat out of ideas. So enjoy the endless remakes(sigh, karate kid) and anything they think is cool nowadays.
because anime is growing more and more popular and when something gets popular

it usually mean u can make money off of it....tadaWhy is Hollywood turning Animes into live action movies?
A good anime will always make a good movie.

A good movie will (well not always) make good money.

Soon it's gonna be Death Note too..
