Is moving to Hollywood to act a good idea?

To actually get noticed and become famous is moving to hollywood the best idea? i hear a lot of stories of people who don't have much experience in acting but they moved to LA and did audtions and got roles in movies or television shows. It's crazy how they become famous or become "rising stars" so quickly. Is moving to Hollywood to act a good idea?CHANCE, , WORK OPPORTUNITY ,AND DESTINY.

First make sure acting is what you are passionate about and then in order to make your dream a reality, youwill need to take a chance, Once there, work hard, and sit tight for a while (takes years for some). Watch for an opportunity, and grab it (As long as it is going to be good for you), work to the best of your abilities and leavethen lieave the rest to Destiny. Good Luck. And Break A Leg!Is moving to Hollywood to act a good idea?
you can be a superstar if you wantIs moving to Hollywood to act a good idea?Go for it, if it will make you happy. Good Luck
nah...Is moving to Hollywood to act a good idea?Personally, I don't think moving to Hollywood is the best idea... at least not as a place to start. The competition is fierce and it is very difficult to even get auditions, especially if you don't already have an agent. And if you don't already have an agent (an actual agent, not just belong to a talent agency), it is going to be hard to get an agent without a lot of experience and training.

There's nothing wrong with going to Hollywood when you're ready, but I think a lot of aspiring actors go to Hollywood before they're ready and end up burned out and bitter.

Your best bet is to start establishing yourself where you are - doing theatre, indy films, etc. Put together a reel you can market yourself, once you've done some film. Collect your theatrical reviews. Network. And as you get better and cast more often, then you move on to bigger things. When you have a nice full resume (and possibly union status) - then you can start shopping around for an agent.

It seems much better, to me anyway, to have interviews with agents and auditions set up before going to Hollywood. You could even just go to visit and do some interviews and auditions - just to see if you would actually like to live there. You may find out that it really isn't your cup of tea - and you'd prefer NYC or doing National Tours - rather than setting up residency in one place.

Those who become famous are the lucky few - and they all have gotten their breaks in different ways. Most people who seem like over-night sensations actually have been working on their acting career for years.

You just need to make a plan... something realistic and attainable... and then actively pursue it. If you are ready to go to Hollywood right now and you think that is your best chance at achieving your goals, then, by all means go for it. If you are just starting out, you may want to wait before going to L.A. so you can build up your credits and gain some experience before entering a market where the competition is so strong. Is moving to Hollywood to act a good idea?
No, it would be really hard for you to get into the business.
Think about this. I'm moving to L.a too, but so are thousands of other people with the same dream. It'll be Extreme COMPETITION, GIRLS WITH THE SAME LOOK AS YOU, TALK WALK AND OTHER THINGS. youll have to see what makes you different and get some lessons. youre not just gonna move and BAM it happens. where are you gonna stay when your there? do you have a job? you have to plan. GOOD LUCK!!!!(Hope I didnt sound mean)Is moving to Hollywood to act a good idea?
Alright, now this is just my opinon but I don't think that would be a good choice. Hollywood changes people and not in a good way.

Not to mention, you don't have to be a famous actor to get noticed. You just have to have the talent for the role.
All I can say is chase your dreams. People tend to forget their dreams, but you havent.

Just brace yourself for an uphill, but adventurous thrill ride. Good luck.
yeah! but you could even start smaller

if you want to do Broadway start in Chicago (or even NY), and you can start there for movie acting, too

good luck!
