How to get from Anaheim to Hollywood?

I'll be visiting LA in May and would probably be staying in Anaheim. We will not be driving so what is the best way to travel from Anaheim to Hollywood, Sunset Strip, Santa Monica pier and back. How to get from Anaheim to Hollywood?www.mapquest.comHow to get from Anaheim to Hollywood? For Hollywood: Take either the Amtrak (Pacific Surfliner) or the Metrolink (OC line) train from Anaheim to Union Station, and then the red line subway to Hollywood. The Amtrak comes more frequently (every hour) but it's more expensive than the Metrolink.

For sunset strip: from Union Station take Metro local line 2

For Santa Monica: from Union Station take Metro rapid bus 704

And don't listen to Obviousman...taking the train/bus will probably be about the same amount of time as driving in all of these cases. How to get from Anaheim to Hollywood? Are you sure you don't want to drive? It will take you all day on the bus to go that way.

The problem with Metrolink is that it is a commuter service, and the last southbound train out of Union Station leaves at 6:30.

This is why everyone drives here. What you're asking is about a 90 mile drive by car, and about a 6 hour bus ride.

If you manage to catch an early metrolink train from Anaheim to Union Station (Los Angeles), you can take the Red Line Subway to either Hollywood %26amp; Highland or Universal City Walk. From Hollywood %26amp; Highland, walk a couple blocks down to Sunset Blvd. You can take Metro Bus 2 or 302 to UCLA. From there, you take Big Blue Bus #1 to the Santa Monica Pier. After viewing the Santa Monica Pier, you need to go two blocks to Santa Monica Blvd %26amp; Ocean, where you can catch BBB #10 to downtown LA %26amp; Union Station. The last Metrolink may leave at 6:30, but you can catch the last Amtrak Train to Anaheim at 8:30.

Take the Metrolink train (Orange County Line) from Anaheim to Union Station downtown. Then take the Metro Red line from 7th %26amp; Metro to Hollywood and Universal Studios. It should cost about $10 each way.
