I blame Barney Frank as the primary individual that could have done something about Fannie and Freddie, but he insisted that they were fine. Sure, they were sinking a fortune into his coffers and helping likely Democrats in his state to get houses they couldn't afford.

Barney Frank has yet to appologize to the American People or to the people around the world that have been hurt by his blocking efforts.

He's not working for America or Americans, he's in it for himself and should be voted out at the first opportunity!

Actually, this didn't really become a problem until Clinton signed the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Bill in 1999, which opened the flood gates for his rewrite of the CRA back in 1993. It took both actions to get our markets this screwed up. I believe he was dodging blame as they had recently been cited for accounting irregularities and his office was responsible for oversight of their activities.

The cats were out of the bag. It was just another case of dodging responsibility for gross mismanagement on his watch.

No he caused it because he is an incompetent. No other reason. He has been an incompetent all his life. If it were not for DADDY he would have never been admitted to Andover Prep in Massachusetts, Yale, the TANG or Harvard.
