Increase in suicides due to the financial crisis? Anyone notice this?

I was over at a friend's place last night and he told me about another two suicides which occurred last week. Both men were involved in businesses which are going through really rough times. I have now heard of ten suicides in the past three months. Never in my life have I seen such a horrible thing. It frightens me that guys cannot accept bankruptcy when it is no shame at all given the current environment.Increase in suicides due to the financial crisis? Anyone notice this?
It frightens me that the suicide rate especially amongst men is on the increase but even more frightening is that there is someone out there that thinks its just bankruptsIncrease in suicides due to the financial crisis? Anyone notice this?
Yes, suicides are up as well as "family annihilators" (when they wipe out the family and then kill themselves) - and it's only going to get worse.Increase in suicides due to the financial crisis? Anyone notice this?
I believe when you are seen by the public as a very successful person and suddenly you become a massive failure, some people cant handle it. It is called the Ego . Ego is not a bad thing, it makes people very very successful, but Ego can be bad as well sometimes when you hold on to it too much because it leads you to do things like committing suicide.
We are a greedy society. We want EVERYTHING and want it NOW! We rack up the credit cards and buy things we don't need and can't afford. Then when the job market or financial situation takes a turn for the worse...well, you know what happens. Live simply, live within your means, and you will be a happy peaceful person.
