Anaheim to Hollywood on a bus. When is the best time to leave and return to avoid traffic?

I can't rent a car so it looks like I'm stuck taking the bus... I'm from NY and it's my first time in California. I will be in Anaheim but have a free day to explore so I want to shoot over to Hollywood. What is the best time to leave and return to avoid traffic on a wednesday?Anaheim to Hollywood on a bus. so you dont have to worry about traffic note going from anaheim to hollywood by bus will

take you aboutr 3 and 1/2 hour each way cost is $2.90 each way

i would leave in the morning now OCTA bus does have express bus from fullerton park and ride to

los angels

which mean you first have to get to fullerton first

now you could also take metrolink or amtrak from either anaheim or fullerton station to los angeles

but this will be more costly

all trips you would have start out between 7am and 8am for the express buses

Have a taxi or the #50 bus along Katella take you to the Metrolink station in Anaheim and then take the Metrolink to Union Station. Then the Red Line subway will take you to Hollywood. Since you are on the train, traffic will not be an issue.
