Can we take an 8 week old baby for the fireworks show at the hollywood bowl?

We were wondering if its safe to take our 8 week old baby for fireworks at the hollywood bowl. Its at 7.30 in the evening.

Our concerns-

Firework sounds

Large crowds

Higher pollution.

Thanks for your suggestions and have a Happy and Safe 4th of July. Can we take an 8 week old baby for the fireworks show at the hollywood bowl?NO! The noise will over stimulate and upset the child, ruining your evening and those around you. The child will not understand what is happening and become upset. You ever see a dog on the 4th? A child can be as bad at that age. Loud booms could hurt their hearing as well. Can we take an 8 week old baby for the fireworks show at the hollywood bowl?
I wouldn't take an 8 week old there for the reasons you listed. In addition, how much fun is it going to be for everyone else to have a screaming, frightened baby in the crowd? Can we take an 8 week old baby for the fireworks show at the hollywood bowl?Your concerns are exactly why you shouldn't take your child to the event. Sorry.
use this time to be alone with the baby daddy.

i am sure relatives will be more than happy to watch him for free. Can we take an 8 week old baby for the fireworks show at the hollywood bowl?yes and no... my pediatrician told my husband and i it was fine..our son is 6 weeks old..we went tonight and had no problem..he loved the lights and the sounds didnt bother him..the crowds werent a problem but everywhere is different. and where we were pollution wasnt a problem...so if you are comfortable with it i dont see why not..we see babies younger than our son at the fireworks..but whatever you decide is fine..good luck , congrats and happy 4th..

go for it ...not all kids scream at fireworks..and its best to get them used to it now at a young age b.c later on you are gonna have troubles with taking the baby somewhere like that..Can we take an 8 week old baby for the fireworks show at the hollywood bowl?
well most likely, she'll cry fireworks and large crowds would easily scare her
if you are worried about pollution or crowds you can cover the baby up. About the noise.. that is up to you.. some babies won't care. Some will. You know your babyCan we take an 8 week old baby for the fireworks show at the hollywood bowl?
It depends on your baby. If your boy/girl doesnt like loud noises then i would think not if he doesnt mind like some will sleep through it (my sister-she also slept through shamu show at sea world) If you are worried about pollution and crowds you can cover up the baby. If you decide to go make sure you have a carrier or stroller or something if its a long show so u dont have to hold him/her the whole time. If you dont bring him/her then try to find someone to babysit or a family member it might be a little harder because it IS the forth of july...

Hope it all works out!

Happy Forth of July!!!!
i wouldn't take such a young baby to a fireworks show. your baby is too young to be around so many people. it would be wayyyyyy too loud!!!

i have 3 kids, 5,2,and almost 11 months. i wouldn't take my 11 month old to that type of show.

you should wait a couple of years or so before involving your child in fireworks festivities!

have fun!
I would either get a sitter or look into getting some baby earplugs.
i would think not , hire a baby sitter
I would not. I just don't think it is worth it. The loudness might scare the baby and I would sorry about hearing issues. You are right about the crowds, you don't if anyone there is going to be sick and sit by you etc.

I could go on and on. It is up to you but I would pass on something that big for now.
Please don't. It will be a miserable time for all involved. The noise, crowd, and lights will scare the baby and thereby make your night miserable. If you want to take him to a fireworks show, see if any of your friends are holding a small one--or if a local business is having a small one. That way, you can leave easily if it gets too loud or busy.

If you do decide to go, watch out for wild drinkers and smokers. People tend to get a bit reckless on the 4th.
I TOOK MY BABY BOY WHEN HE WAS TWO WEEKS OLD AND HE DID NOT GET FRIGHTEN AT ALL BUT I GUESS IT DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF NOICE U HAVE THEM USE TO!!
Well just because you CAN take your 8 week old to a fireworks show does not mean you should. Lots of things you can take an 8 week old to, but not many you should. They don't even know what is going on! There will be plenty of time for that stuff when they are much, much older!

Ask a relative or trusted friend to watch the baby-- go out for a few hours without him and enjoy your date night! You probably need one anyways!
It might be too loud for him. Could cause problems with his hearing. That's what I'd be most worried about.
If it were me I wouldnt...

Happy 4th to all!!
