I have an idea for a reality TV show and want to know how to go about pitching the show to the Hollywood powers that be.How do you pitch a reality TV show to Hollywood execs?The bottom line is that you need a agent. A production company %26amp; especially the bigger networks will not even hear you out if you do not have an agent. I field about 5 calls a day from people that want to pitch a Reality TV show idea. I always listen to their ideas. However, 9 times out of 10 their concept is one that has already been done or touched upon in one way or another.



I also advise them to pitch their ideas to the smaller independent networks or even an internet TV station. They are much more likely to listen to your idea or concept. The bigger networks have people on staff that are making high 6 figure salaries to come up with show ideas. They tend to get their backs up when your average every day Joe Blow comes up with a winning idea.

I do not want to knock your idea but a lot of people have good ideas in the reality show department. I guess you could try and write a letter though.
