Why did Hollywood stop making Western Films after the mid 1970's?

Since the 1900's, Western movies have been very popular and were the most profitable. However, after the mid 70's Hollywood rarely made Western Films. What was the reason for it?Why did Hollywood stop making Western Films after the mid 1970's?People got sick of them.
