Is there really a five animal style martial art or is that just hollywood?

is this really a Chinese style if so which one or is this a hollywood fantasy? Is there really a five animal style martial art or is that just hollywood?Yes it is a Chinese art system that uses the five animals such as the Tiger, Crane, Snake etc.

it was developed in China but in the USA a Kempo School run by a McDojo known a Villari uses the name Shaolin Kempo. Their is nothing Shaolin or Kempo about it. He is my eyes is a progenitor of McDojo's.

So yes the five animal style exists in Chinese Kung Fu and yes Hollywood has used it but it is not a fantasy, they have only spiced it up hollywood style to make it more dramatic such as in Fearless and Unleashed. Is there really a five animal style martial art or is that just hollywood? The traditional 5 animals of kung fu are:

Tiger, Crane, Dragon, Snake and Leopard. Is there really a five animal style martial art or is that just hollywood?Five animal kung fu was and still is real. It's a Shaolin set of styles comprised of snake, crane, leopard, tiger, and dragon.

Some schools still teach it and each animal style emphasizes a particular characteristic of the animal (i.e. snake has a lot of very quick strikes that are aimed at soft spots on the body).

Hollywood sometimes uses it because it can be flashy and it looks good on camera. Is there really a five animal style martial art or is that just hollywood?
This is a serious style. I took Crane for about a year from my sifu. Each animal teaches you a different aspect of fighting. All four corners come together so that you can achieve mastery with the Dragon style. If you want to know a little bit about it, check out this website: http://www.shaolin.com.au/animal.html

It gives a prety good overview of what it's about. Pretty cool really... just VERY elaborate to learn. You wouldn't believe how many different animal styles are out there... it's ridiculous!!
