Are their any successful gay actors in Hollywood?

I know their are gay actors in Hollywood but i know Hollywood can be cruel when it comes to gays in movies for example Rupert Everett. He's been in a small handful of movies but he feels he is being treated unfairly because he's hardly been casted than he was in the past. What's your take on this?Are their any successful gay actors in Hollywood?Out of over 307 million people in the USA, the list is totally pathetic.



The only globally famous American one's I can think of is Rock Hudson, Tab Hunter, Anthony Perkins, Lily Tomlin and rumored James Dean and Cary Grant.



The others mentioned are all B grade or in the film industry know as second rate film and TV actors. Being short famed, non academy or golden globe awarded and unknown to any of us outside the USA.



The list of out LGBT foreign actors is huge, some were even mentioned in the above answers.

Are their any successful gay actors in Hollywood?Hollywood is only about money. It is filled with closeted actors, producers, directors, every phase of the business. Hollywood has learned that for an actor to be openly gay means damage to proceeds at the box office. Women cannot fanticize an actor to be theirs if that actor is openly gay. Until such time that Gay and Straight are totally equal in the eye of society, things will change little in Hollywood, or anywhere else, for that matter.
There are many others who have remained in the closet because you were right Hollywood can be cruel. Neil Patrick Harris, Wanda Sykes, Rosie O'Donnel (bad one to choose, but there aren't that many), Ross the Intern, and a few others haven't been that secretive. My take is Hollywood is a do as I say, not as I do place. Why do you think there is an invisible line between porn and mainstream?
